Ruby Battles

Welcome to a new challenge! This game mode lets you put your Rubies on the line against other players while your engineers work on your base and your army is training.

Overview

  • Find a Battle against another player: Both you and your opponent will take on the same Ghost Base, chosen at random.

  • Destroy the Ghost Base: Both you and your opponent will be given the same randomly selected units to use in battle.

  • Compete for the Best Score: Your goal is to achieve the best overall score based on:

    • Most Stars

    • Total Damage

    • Fastest Time

The player with the highest score wins the Rubies, minus a small burn fee (2% burn fee per match total).

Ruby Battles are a test of skill and to put your competitiveness to work against other players.

There are different Ruby tiers to compete in (50 and 250 Ruby), no cooldown time between matches and no limits on how many Ruby Battles a player can participate in per day!

Detailed Explanations:

What are Ghost Bases?

A random generator will select one layout from a large pool of ghost bases for both players to attack separately. All variables will be the same for each player, meaning both will attack the same base with the same troops simultaneously.

  • Headquarters Level Limitations: 4-6

  • Troop Compatibility: Troop assortments are categorized based on the Headquarters level. For example, if a Headquarter 4 ghost base is chosen, players will receive troops appropriate for Headquarter 4 or lower. The same applies to Headquarters 5 and 6.

Matchmaking

Matchmaking begins immediately after selecting the Ruby Battle tier and accepting the game rules. Players are matched with the first available player who is also in the Ruby Battle queue.

During matchmaking, Rubies have not yet been deducted from the player. Players may cancel the matchmaking search at any time for no penalty. Once a match has been found, Rubies are deducted immediately.

Win Conditions

After both players have completed their attack, their "scores" will be compared using a priority scoring system to determine the winner. The conditions are ranked in descending priority order, meaning higher-priority conditions take precedence over lower ones in case of a tie.

  • Stars (Highest Priority)

    • Whichever player secures more stars wins, regardless of damage dealt or attack time. If both players achieve 2 or 1 star, proceed to Destruction % Dealt.

    • The first player to achieve 3 stars wins instantly.

  • Destruction % Dealt

    • Whichever player deals a higher percentage of damage to the ghost base wins, regardless of attack time. If both players have 2 or 1 star and the same Destruction % Dealt, proceed to Time Used for the Attack

  • Time Used for the Attack (Lowest Priority)

    • Whichever player used the least amount of time for their attack will break the tie.
